Electronic Warfare Synthetic Environment

Swordfish Computing is currently engaged in development of the computing infrastructure to support EWD's Force Level Electronic Warfare Synthetic Environment (FLEWSE).

The FLEWSE involves a number of disparate software systems which each provide various elements of the simulation capability. These include:

• The STAGE wargame simulation system from Virtual Protototypes (www.virtualprototypes.ca)
• The EDO visualisation system developed for the Human-in-the-Loop Electronic Warfare Simulation project, and
• The PLANimate process modelling system also used for the Human-in-the-Loop Electronic Warfare Simulation project.

The FLEWSE project involves integrating these products into a tightly integrated set of simulation components via a specialised HLA FOM.

The FLEWSE will be used to simulate and evaluate force level EW scenarios.
